Road 6: Never Back Down

Firstly I would apologize for the long delay in my next post! I blame my college for the end semester examinations resulting in this delay.

Currently I involved myself into this company called "Menu Cards Online" which one of my friend owns. Being the Head of Operation of the company in Kolkata is probably the best way to spend my winter break this year. As you all probably know about my inclination towards having my own business, this opportunity is something that I knew would teach me a lot. Apart from what I gained from the day to day working of the company I have evolved a lot as a person, which is the motive of Road 6.

When you work you come across all kinds of people. Some will motivate you and some intentionally or unintentionally will do all it takes to pull you down. Being a responsible leader you need to deal with every one of them. Not just while working in a company, you will find such people all around you even during your day to day activities.

There are a few people who have a negative approach to everything. The Critics. Even before you utter the first words about doing something good they will have a list of reasons ready pointing out why you cannot do it. Being a leader it is important to know how to deal with such people. Firstly believe it or not no matter how much they bother you it is important to have such people around you. These are the people who might actually find out loopholes in your ideas, which helps you make your plan better. Secondly it is also very important to keep such a person away from the rest of the group because in no time will he/she convince others that your idea will never work out. The negative influence takes the enthusiasm out of people and trust me when there is no enthusiasm, you will never reach your desired heights of success.
But never let their negative influence affect you. Believe in yourself! NEVER BACK DOWN!

Our Elders. I am 19 but there is no part of me which tells me that I am too young to do anything. You will come across elders who are already working. The problem with them is that they cannot deal with the fact that there is a youngster who is dreaming of working and earning like them. They will tell you that its too tough, its taken them years to come up to the position they are in now and so on. NEVER BACK DOWN! Just because they couldn't make it big, it does not mean you cannot. Always believe that you are the special one. Love yourself for it. Although there will be another group of elders who will motivate you. Learn from them because at the end of the day their experience is helpful. You should know who you have to listen to. As for me my father, my brother and my family have been a huge source of help. They have been there to support and guide me in everything I do.

Throughout your life there will be people in your group or outside who will pull you down. Its your decision whether you give in to them or prove them wrong.
What separates you from the rest of them is that you NEVER BACK DOWN. That's Road 6 for you.
Whatever you do in life, do it in such a way that when people look at you they wish to be like you. Believe in yourself and know for a fact that you are special. Be inside a bubble of positive energy, which does not allow negativity to even come near you. When you know nothing can stop you, then it really doesn't matter what people are around you or what conditions you are put to because you NEVER EVER BACK DOWN.
If the post gives you the confidence of following your dreams without bothering about what the world thinks about you, then do let me know.

  1. I think we all face these sort of people whenever we do anything. Your articles are nicely written, and they are about emotions or phases that we all go through, which is what makes it interesting. Keep it up.!
